Start Stella Sora by following the Growth and squad-building tutorials, developing one working team, and saving an Ascension Record that can carry that team into other battles. Spend Vigor on the materials or event objectives you can use now; recruiting more characters is a separate decision from making your first team functional.
Global early progression. Community progression observations below were written in April 2026; the August 2026 unlock requirements are labelled separately. They are not a verified first-day route for every account in the anniversary update.

Build one team before expanding the roster
Use the in-game Growth objectives and squad-building tutorials as your immediate checklist. In the April new-player discussion, players describe completing the Ventus tutorial first and then opening the Ignis tutorial. The rewards help offset the materials used on those tutorial units. This gives a new account a concrete set of upgrades to work toward instead of levelling every new recruit at once.
The useful early loop is to improve a team, run Ascension for a better saved Record, and use that Record to progress in battles such as Menace Arena. If the same encounter remains difficult, review the Record and its choices as well as the permanent levels of the Trekkers. A new recruit alone does not replace that preparation.
This order is an editorial starting plan based on the April players’ progression accounts, rather than a claim that one team clears every mode. Once your first squad works, expand for the content you actually want to attempt.

Read unlock requirements before planning a farm
Authorization Level gates activities. The following requirements are explicitly listed in the August 17, 2026 version 1.14 announcement; use them as a dated reference, and follow a different requirement if the current client displays one.
Documented version 1.14 activity gates
Scroll the table sideways on a narrow screen.
| Authorization Level | Activity | What the announcement unlocks |
|---|---|---|
| 3 | Urgent Bounty | Extra-reward Basic and Emblem Trials during its stated event period |
| 5 | Limited story event and arcade activities | The listed summer event, Arc of Abundance and Bouncing Bumper Bash |
| 10 | Call for Best Records | Submission of Records matching the event’s goals |
| 11 | Cataclysm Survivor | The version’s defense challenge and missions |
These are entry requirements for the named activities, not a complete account-level unlock chart. An event’s level requirement also does not override its opening or closing time. Do not plan to spend Vigor on an activity solely because you have reached its listed level.
Separate immediate upgrades from optional spending
- Keep enough upgrade materials for the squad you are using. Raise an additional Trekker when a tutorial reward, commission requirement or particular encounter gives that upgrade a purpose.
- Compare the actual event shop and trial rewards before spending Vigor. April players recommended event stages for their exchange materials; that observation is not a universal drop-rate comparison for every later event.
- Treat recruitment tickets and Stellanite Dust as a separate budget. Decide which banner rules apply before spending; an early progression checklist does not require buying a new unit or its duplicates.
- Check the expiry shown on temporary Vigor items. The version 1.14 compensation notice specifically warns that its Vigor Soda expires according to the claim time, so do not treat every refill as permanent inventory.
The anniversary announcement lists a limited event shop with a five-star Runic Disc, upgrade materials and recruitment resources. Its period begins after the October 19 maintenance and ends November 2 at 12:59 (UTC-7). Claiming or buying from that shop still depends on the activity and currency available in your account; the announcement alone does not establish an optimal farming stage.
Before spending tickets, compare the recruitment counters and guarantees separately from the resource plan.
For recurring claims, use the Global reset routine. For a gift code, check the dated code entries and redemption conditions before treating it as available currency.
