What her Hunting Energy changes
Karin’s Fisher’s Hunt fires cuttlefish shells as area Umbra Auto Attack damage. Her base reference gives Hunting Energy a cap of 100 and regeneration of 10 per second. At full energy she throws a chain, applies Hunter’s Mark and links with the target. While the chain remains active, her Auto Attack damage is increased.
That resource-and-link mechanism matters when choosing a branch. A generic Umbra damage dealer’s recipe does not necessarily support Karin’s attacks. Keep the actual core pair and its damage category together when building the Record.

The source’s equipment comparison is conditional, not a reason to acquire an unavailable Disc immediately. The actual inventory and its upgrade levels determine whether this is the recipe you can assemble.
Team and replacement conditions
Keep Cosette. Mistique or Coronis can replace Otoha; Suntide Willow is another option, but mixed elements invalidate mono-Umbra-only picks. For Emblems, the author favors Main Skill +3 over Ultimate +3 because important follow-up damage does not scale from the Ultimate cast itself.
The supplied earlier Karin preset post also distinguishes an Ultimate build from an Auto Attack build and says its full Disc and alternative-teammate comparison was still unfinished. Use the later complete original analysis linked below for that comparison, rather than interpreting an early preset as a final ranking.
