LOOKUP SCOPE

Give gifts through Heartlink → Mail and match the recipient’s preference before confirming. In the captured gift rules, a preferred blue gift gives 225 affinity and a preferred yellow gift gives 750. The lookup below supplies a preferred blue/yellow pair for seven covered Trekkers; it is not the full gift matrix for every character or form.

Gift mechanics from captured revision 14799 and original gifting observations; the seven character-specific pairs are from the community gift database checked October 19, 2026. Exact current-build compatibility has not been tested in game.

Mail gifts and check the displayed daily allowance

The captured Gift reference places ordinary gifting in Heartlink → Mail. Its base affinity values are 150 for a blue gift and 500 for a yellow gift; the preferred reaction multiplies those by 1.5, a neutral reaction uses the base, and a disliked reaction uses 0.8. That produces the preferred 225 and 750 values above.

The community gift database lists ten gifts per character per day. The original gifting post separately observes that a gift given during an invitation did not use the mail-gifting allowance. Those are different activities; read the current screen’s remaining allowance rather than assuming every gift interaction shares one counter.

Gift boxes and crafting are different choices

  • The captured Common Gift Box gives a random blue gift. Its documented sources include crafting with 10 Artifact Wishing Eggs or buying with 20 Journey Tickets.
  • The captured Exquisite Gift Box gives a random yellow gift. The reference lists 25 Expert Permits or 100 Journey Tickets as purchase options.
  • Crafting one yellow variant consumes six of its blue variant in the captured rules. A random box does not guarantee the particular preferred gift you wanted.

Higher rarity does not always give more total affinity

For ordinary mail gifting to a recipient who likes the gifts, six blue gifts give 6 × 225 = 1,350 affinity, compared with 750 from the one yellow gift they can craft. That is a loss of 600 affinity if the only goal is total mailed affinity and the old values apply.

WaffleTC’s original process notes a different trade-off during invitations, where a gift received a doubled affinity amount, and daily limits can favor fitting more points into one gift. The post’s later correction still distinguishes that convenience from the total value of keeping the blue gifts. Decide which limit you are solving instead of upgrading every gift automatically.
